Scheduled Refrigeration Power Shutdown

When a store or a building’s upgrading or maintenance work has been planned, there has to be a scheduled power shutdown in order to carry out the work. Shutting down the refrigeration is not just turning off and on the power switch. Due to the refrigerant in the system,
a careful and controlled procedure has to be carried out to minimise risks of upsetting the system or causing refrigerant leakages.

In a scheduled refrigeration power shutdown, a trained technician has to be deployed
to oversee the entire process.

Stand By

Once the date for the shutdown has been set, we will stand by at the location, ready to work with the building management team and the different departments involved in the process. Businesses in the building get ready to close for the day.

Pump Down System

Technical work starts, and then pumping down the system…  Checks are in place to ensure the process is safe and well. We remain on site throughout the process.

Turn On Power

Once the upgrading or maintenance work of the building is completed, the power is ready to be turned on. Gradually we will switch on the systems, not all at once, chiller system, then the freezer system, to make sure they are stable. We will then get the desired temperature for all the equipment and monitor them carefully until all work is completed.
